Blogg: Lips
so ive been really just focusing on eye looks and i think got a little caught up in eye shadow land. i thought that i would deviate to another aspect of makeup, lips. wearing lipstick for indian women is a given, every woman that i know even my grandmother will wear at least lipstick if nothing else when they step out. so i thought that i should take some time and discuss lipstick and talk about my preferred colors and brands. so stay tuned as i will do a lipstick haul, show you the colors i have and tell you why i like some colors and brands opposed to others.
so ill be back soon peeps.
happy blogging :D

Beautie Fix: ASPIRIN MASK
key to flawless makeup, is flawless beautiful skin. there are many products out there that you can use to help achieve flawless skin, however there is a simple and easy do-it-your-self facial mask that can give you the same or even better results and it costs less than five bucks. this revolutionary mask is called an aspirin mask. "Aspirin is actually a form of Beta Hydroxy Acids or BHA’s, which are found in many skin creams and work by exfoliating the dull, dead layers of skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Over time, BHA’s can help clarify skin tone and promote healing of blemishes."
However, do not use the aspirin mask if you have a sensitivity to BHA’s or if you have very sensitive skin, or obviously if you are allergic to aspirin!
However, do not use the aspirin mask if you have a sensitivity to BHA’s or if you have very sensitive skin, or obviously if you are allergic to aspirin!
it is a simple combination of a few ingredients that you have laying around.
Recipe:
4 aspirin tablets ( uncoated)
a few DROPS of water
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
in a small dish, place the aspirin tablets, and SPRINKLE a few drops of water on the tablets. wait a minute of two till the tablets are soft enough and easy to mash. mash it all up, and you will have a grainy pasty consistency. if you like you can at this point add a binding ingredient, honey is an ideal one, as it helps the aspirin mask adhere to your face easily. also honey has skin clearing benefits as well. leave the mask on for 5- 10 mins. as you rinse off the mask exfoliate your skin with the grains. your skin will be smooth, and after a few applications you will notice even toned skin as well. do this at most twice a week, as your skin can become resistant to the mask. i hope you guys will benefit from my findings ;)

Make up Tutorial: Purple smokey eye!
i think that purple looks amazing on indian skin tones. its warm and rich but at the same time not over powering.
here is one of my go to looks a beautiful purple smokey eye. its amazing how simple something so dramatic as this look can be to recreate.
you will need a primer,a purple shadow which is multi-chromatic, black shadow, black pencil liner, and mascara.
step one: apply primer, and then take the black pencil liner and draw out the shape of your crease, and fill in that area, focus on the outer half of the crease area, this does not have to be perfect.
step two: take either your finger, or a short stiff crease brush and blend out the eyeliner, carry the color as high as you like.
step three: take a purple shadow and apply it all over your lid, and pat over the black area as well, make sure to leave the tear duct area clear of the shadow. you should now have a very purple eyelid.
step four: take some black shadow and the same crease brush and add more black to the area which was previously black. again you can make it as dramatic as you please. and make sure that you are blending well. also at this point you can highlight under your brows, and also apply a white shimmery eye shadow to the tear duct area which was previously kept bare, blend it all well.
step five: you can use any type of eyeliner to line your eyes, and third of your outer lower waterline. i used black shadow here. then apply mascara and if preferred falsies, and your done and ready for your night on the town :P

Make up Tutorial: Neutral Bollywood look!
This look is really simple and all you need is three shades of colors. i like to use a light shimmery gold color for the inner eye corner of the eyelid, a taupe or greyish purple for the crease and a light grey/brown color for the rest of the eyelid, also a primer your favorite black liner (liquid preferred) and mascara
step one: prime eye lid area up to area below eyebrow
step two: apply the light shimmery gold to the inner corner of the eye, apply this color only to the inner half
step three tale the greyish light brown color and apply that to the rest of the lid and a little bit beyond the crease to the area just above the crease.
step four: take the taupe grey color, which should be darker than the color in step three, and apply that to the crease and take the color out towards the end of your eyebrow.
step five (optional): take a dark color and apply it to the outer v-area of your eye, so apply it to the outer crease and the end of the eyelid. this will make the look more dramatic!
step six: apply a light highlighting shade under the eyebrow
step seven: apply eyeliner and mascara and falsies if you like and your look is complete!
hope you like this look guys!
please comment and tell me if i need to do things differently or even request a look i would love to redo looks :D
